they called me but did not answer but tried calling back and it was an invalid number. other say its a magazine sales team trying to sell subscriptions.

This was yesterday on my cell and heavy accent difficult to understand - offering $100.00 gift card from Walmart for the shipping and handling fee of $3.95. They said they needed my credit card number to process a free Wall Mart 100.00gift card. Very heavy foreign accent, India maybe, hard to understand. Foreign accent stating he was with USA benefits. He stated I qualified for a $100 Gift Card since I used my VISA card somewhere. He had my name, address and phone#. Today he said he needed my Visa info to process a $4.95 fee to activate the card. I just need the expiration date. So I gave him expiration date, and he proceeded to try to get my credit card info saying it was okay since he wouldn't ask for my PIN number.

This is a sex line that has started texted my daughter's phone. I have no idea how they got her number, but would like to report this

this is an unwanted caller i tried to call back but i was told the number i was calling was no longer in service or the number was changed! how do these scam artist get are cell numbers isn't anything private anymore?

I got a similar call from Michelle Thomas with the same instructions. It is a scam! However, they will actually send an "officer" with a knock-off uniform in a police-looking car to your house and job. When I got the call for the second time, after investigation on sites like these, I called the real police and they informed me that, in most states, police depts. nor officers are permitted use there uniform to intimidate citezens. When she called back an hour later, I informed her to send her "officer", who could not have known unless he Googled my name that I was an ametur boxer for 6 years and that I had cought onto their scam. H eogt a broken jaw and a trip to jail for his troubles. Just call the police with the phone number they gave you and the fake case number. I've been told this scam, a type identity theft, is extreemely wide-spread and you will have to change your phone number. Keep the new number as well as your personal address private.
